Gabi's Intro

Hi English 101 world! My name is Gabrielle (Gabi) Hampson, either name works for me. I am from Olympia, WA and have lived in the same general area my whole life. I graduated from Timberline High School in 2009 and came to WSU as a freshman this year. I have been excited to start my coug years for what seems like centuries. And I can say that these past few months have been the most memorable time in my life! I hope that everyone gets the best of Pullman and can stick through it. When it comes to English, I am not much of a writer but I am enthusiastic to work on improving this. I would love to not dread writing papers because I am sure I will have to throughout the rest of my college career and possibly even when I enter a career.

  1. Gabi,

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the WSU experience so far. When I read that you went to Timberline HS it brought up bad memories! I went to Liberty HS and I don't know if you followed Timberline's baseball team last year but they beat my baseball team in the state playoffs. It was a real bummer but I was glad to see them do well further along after our meeting. I am sure this class will help you improve your writing skills. You don't seem like a bad writer to me if thats any conciliation to the matter!

  2. I am totally with you on hating to write. I wish I could like it also but I just don’t. I dread writing papers and wait to the last minute to write it. I wish I was one of those people that just could write the papers really fast and get them over with. I love Pullman and I can’t imagine graduating and having to leave this place. I look forward to having you in my English 101 class.

  4. That will be nice to get some more confidence writing papers, it will only do good things for the rest of our college years. All we seem to do is write papers. I'm liking WSU as well, I just transffered in this semester, so its taking a little getting used to, but its a great campus
