English Prompt 2
I believe that Gallien not only thought Chris was crazy but realized how determined he was towards what he was doing. I think he trusted that Chris knew what he was doing emotionally/mentally but not physically. During their conversation Chris kept saying he didn't need food or more supplies which could have helped Gallien gain trust in his motives. I think Chris took the boots because it was something to keep to warm himself, I think he may have wanted to die a certain way? If that makes sense and it wasn't to freeze to death.. What do you guys think? Why did Chris accept Gallien's boots while being adamant towards keeping everything else the way he came?

Well, I personally don't think he was planning on dying out there. I think Chris took the boots as much to warm himself as make Gallien feel better. Beyond that, I'm really not sure what to say.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dallin and think that Chris took the boots to ease Gallien and probably for himself a little too. He probably thought if he didn't take the boots there would be a higher chance of Gallien interfering in his journey in some way.
ReplyDeleteThere was no stopping Chris. He was on a mission. He knew his risk and didn’t care about the consequences. Gallen was a good man for even picking Chris up in the first place. He even offered supplies. There would have been very few people that would have called the police. Many Americans don’t want to interfere with others people’s business unless they are in immediate danger.
