The most effective rhetoric form is Ethos because it makes the author credible towards what they are writing about. You want an author that is credible so you can believe what they are saying is true. Krakauer, in Into the Wild, uses a lot of Logos. He is constantly including interviews, texts, specific phrases, personal letters, as well as McCandless' diary entries. These are all important factors for Krakauer's story because they all contribute a strong variation of primary sources.

Well since we are the only ones who actually post blogs it makes it easy because we only have to comment one time. You have the exactly the same answers as I did. Ethos really is the most important and Krakauer uses logos the most with his use of letters, phrases, and interviews. Keep up the good work. lol.
ReplyDeleteHey, watch your tone there! Some of us have had busy weekends. But yea, you and Blake made very similer points, and I'm going to stick to my opinion that he's using Pathos the most. Every example he includes, every journal entry seems to be there to emotionally engage us. But I guess you could look at it either way.
